Carl Leggo is a poet and associate professor in the Department of Language Education at the University of British Columbia where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in creative writing and teaching. His degrees include a B.A. in English Literature and a B.Ed. from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, an M.A. in Creative Writing and an M.Ed. in English Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Brunswick and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta. After nine years of teaching in Newfoundland, Leggo joined the Department of Language Education at UBC where he has been teaching, researching and writing happily for nine years.
